Hi just got a new betta fish. I‘m thinking of putting it in my community tank which has neon tetras and red ember tetras. Is this possible? Can bettas live with other fishes?

Hello! Is it possible for bettas to live with other fishes? Yes they can! Though not all bettas will be friendly and peaceful. Especially bettas that are >5 months of age, as older bettas are used to being alone and may react aggressively with other fishes. It is recommended to get a young betta preferably <2 months of age. As these bettas are the more peaceful ones! With that said, do put your betta in a bag before adding into your aquarium. This is to see if your betta is peaceful or aggressive against other fishes!
